The wait is over.

The world is changing. Businesses are changing. We are changing.

I'm delighted to announce here today at Winslade House, our offices that Callidus Wholesale has become CleanTech Wholesale.

Our business has always seen itself as a part of the fourth industrial revolution, electrifying the world with clean energy.

That fourth industrial revolution is bounded by three emerging and converging technologies, decentralised energy, decentralised systems and decentralised money.

CleanTech Wholesale sees itself as a business that can be the vehicle for all three of these emerging technologies and delivering this change to our industry as the new world is being ushered in around these technologies.

The New Logo

So once settling on a vision and direction for this business, it was very clear to me that we needed to choose a selector logo that was the embodiment of that vision.

And we had to take inspiration from various different sources.

And what we eventually, eventually arrived upon was the Kardashev scale of the tier one civilization, which is a civilization that uses the entire energy available in its host planet.

And a guy called Freeman Dyson, who was a physicist who worked on that idea and came up with something called the Dyson sphere, basically a sphere of solar panels that absorb 100% of the sun's energy.

And we thought that was aspirational.

That amount of abundance of power is what drives us.

It's what we get out of bed for each and every morning.

So in our logo, the 'C' pays homage to the Dyson sphere.

It is us capturing all of the available solar energy, us and our installers.

The yellow sun is ubiquitous with all solar renewable companies, whether you're an installation business, whether you're a design company, whether you're a wholesaler.

So of course we had to have the sun in our logo, but that sun has got a fund that fund the bolt or electric bolt carved through the middle of it.

And that is the electrification of everything.

It also is a skewed W to represent wholesale and that is slightly pushed over.

It's slightly flat.

It's slightly skewed as we say, that was because we wanted it to be a Thunderbolt like  a 'W', not a 'W' that looks like a Thunderbolt, but also has the added benefit of pushing over the wholesale model.

We see ourselves as disrupting the wholesale model.

We kept the black and yellow colour palette.

I saw it as a sign of old to new.

It's light and shade, it's dark and light, it's fossil fuels, it's renewables, it's the old guard and the new guard, the old way of doing things and the new way of doing things.

It is also a link to the past, where we came from and where we are today.

And then we have the 315° tilt pushing forwards because we are pushing forwards.

What's a vision without a promise?

Not much.

So for the installers, for you, this identity change is a promise.

It's a promise for fast, frictionless service.

That means fast quotes, fast designs, fast deliveries, reliable deliveries and also premium products.

This service is to give you the edge so you can win more jobs and grow your business.

For suppliers, this is a statement.

We're a serious distribution partner, building brand equity that lists your products, your services.

And investors and stakeholders, we're not a scrappy start up anymore.

This is proof we're building a decentralised, premium tech driven wholesale model that has longevity in this new world.

So what's our tagline?

Empowering Energy Everywhere.

What does this mean?

Well, it means that we deliver our decentralised renewable energy products everywhere across the United Kingdom, giving people and businesses decentralised energy to their homes and businesses.

The proliferation of this technology will also mean the increase in availability of AI automation technologies as well as digital currencies.

The more that these technologies spread, the more that personal sovereignty and business sovereignty will be achievable for the many.

CleanTech Wholesale sees that as about empowering the individual as much as the technology that we supply as empowering the individual.

Empowering Energy Everywhere is our mantra.
